The Trustees & Members of the Sangha of the Buddhavihara Temple are pleased to announce that purchase of the new Temple is expected to be completed and the keys handed over in November 2006. Good progress is being made on the purchase of a new property in Staffordshire, and we hope to be able to complete the transaction so that we can move in after the end of Rains Retreat, in early November. The rural setting, extensive accommodation in a 150 year old Manor House along with idyllic gardens will make an ideal location for meditation retreats - a programme that we hope to be able to develop to its full potential in the New Year - as well as being a suitable home for our monks. The purchase will involve a great deal of financial commitment on the part of the Temple Trust. We hope that our friends and supporters will help us by considering in which ways they would like to help out with this massive project. We look forward to being able to welcome you all to our new home: please watch this page for developments. |
